ROSE participated in the Otter Trotter at Mechelen - Sunday 28th June 2009 - De Tivoli Park, Mechelen- 12u to 18u.

At the Otter Trotter festival in Tivoli Park, both small and large non-governmental organizations publicized on their development projects across the globe. Education projects of ROSE was presented by five ROSE volunteers through a colorful information desk. In addition to the information on education projects, special promotional items like Indian cosmetic accessories drew special attention among guests. The students who came for the picknick were enthusiastic to know more on the diverse needs in our projects. By giving examples from active ROSE projects, our volunteers gave insight on how projects are identified, executed and subsequently monitored. Some of the guests contributed generously by buying our promotional items like bags, bangles, bindhi's etc. Also, some tried wearing the Indian dress accessories and were interested to attend ROSE fund raising events for supporting education in developing countries. Two of our volunteers were completely busy till the end in drawing the art with Henna for the interested guests.
