What is Rose ?
Rose vzw was started by students of KULeuven in 2001 with the objective of improving education system in developing nations.
What are Rose's goals?
Rose vzw's main goals are to improve basic and primary education system in developing nations. Rose is similar to Asha in it goals and objectives.
How does Rose achieve its goals?
Rose vzw identifies projects with collaboration with various other NGOs like AID, Asha and other such organizations. Also other NGOs directly contact us for funds.
How does Rose select projects?
Every project proposal is subject to an extensive scrutiny to ensure that the receiving party is genuine. Furthermore site visits and correspondence ensures that project is genuine.
What are our costs?
There are NO paid members at Rose and we strive to ensure our costs are low and we run as a zero-overhead organization.
What are some of the activities of Rose?
Rose organizes various events like fundraising dinners and bus trips. A substantial amount of funds are also obtained by personal contributions or other donations.
How do I join Rose?
You can email us at mailto:rosevzw@gmail.com. We are an open group and any help in any sort of way (time, funds or any other form) is greatly appreciated. You can also attend our meetings which happens on the first Sunday of every month.
Is there a membership fee?
There is no membership fee required for joining Rose. However, members do contribute, on a purely voluntary basis.
Do we work with other organizations?
As should any other NGO, Rose vzw works with many non-profit organizations like Asha, AID, Aadhaar, Asha Chennai, Koning Boudewijn Foundation etc.
Are my donations tax deductable?
Yes! As of 2008 all donors in Belgium can avail tax deduction/fiscal attest for donations over 30 Euros to ROSE vzw. Also starting Dec 2008, donors in Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland and UK can avail tax-break in their own countries for donations to ROSE. Please see our donations page for more detail.
